Project Brief

Litespace AI Agent is a cloud-based platform that enables HR teams to prepare documentation, aid recruitment, and receive instant answers. The objective was to modernize chat solutions by delivering a novel and compelling experience built on the existing technical foundation. By leveraging AI agent, the platform provides rapid and precise answers and templates to HR. The main challenge is to conduct simultaneous research and integration with new intelligent capabilities, all within a tight timeframe of two months.

As the sole designer for the employee engagement domain, I worked closely with XFN (Engineering, PM) and Marketing sales to prioritize core features. My work involved analyzing unmet user needs, mapping out the user journey, and leveraging conversational UI to support user queries. This project explores how we identified the market gap, pivoted our product strategy, and launched a conversational interface that differentiates Litespace in the market.

Challenge

HR teams were hesitant to transition to an all-in-one platform

In the past two years, Litespace set out to offer all-in-one HR solutions that manage the entire employee journey from recruitment to employee engagement to off boarding. However, despite previous attempts, these efforts did not gain significant traction in the market. HR teams found little incentive to switch. The high cost and effort required to migrate to a new system didn’t justify the minimal improvements it offered over existing solutions. It became clear: competing as an all-in-one platform was not the answer.

Defining the problem

Breaking the Cycle

User Interview Insights

To better understand requirements and pain points, we conducted competitor analysis and engaged with over 100 HRs and COOs through LinkedIn, email outreach and HR communities. We focused on small to mid-sized companies, where leanHR teams are often overwhelmed by administrative workload, compliance demands, and recruitment coordination.

Pain Point #1

Delay in HR strategic projects due to administrative load

A significant amount of time could be better spent on strategic initiatives and employee engagement.

Pain Point #2

Existing tools were adequate, but not transformative

HR professionals spend up to 73% of their time on administrative tasks, including documentation and repetitive employee queries (e.g., job descriptions, benefits, leave requests).

Pain Point #3

Missing automation & intelligence in HR Tech

While AI-driven solutions are emerging, existing tools remain inadequate for truly transforming HR workflows, leaving teams overwhelmed.

The MVP
